Research Assistant

Research Coordinator
If you are interested in the position of a clinical Research Coordinator conducting clinical trials, please e-mail a cover letter with your CV to Dr. Radke.
What needs to be done?
Recruit patients for ongoing studies (interviews, data collection from medical charts)
Literature search (PubMed, Embase etc.)
Data management (database programming, data entry, data validation and cleaning)
Data analysis (including statistical testing, meta-analysis)
Communication with partners and sponsors throughout the US and internationally
Organization of our projects, resources and daily tasks
Medical writing and proofreading
Turning research ideas into study design (including organization, forms, databases)
Writing IRB applications and funding requests
Outside communications (website design and maintenance, correspondence, networking)
Organization of meetings
Skills needed
Excellent communication skills that ensure effective interaction with group members, hospital staff and external partners
Excellent work ethics (will involve some evening and weekend work according to study needs)
Excitement about learning new tools and adopting new skills (especially some medical background knowledge or computer skills)
Skills that are advantageous
Experience as a clinical research coordinator
Experience in anesthesia-related fields (OR, PACU, ICU)
Solid medical background knowledge
Excellent computer skills (MS Office, especially Word)
Programming skills (VBA, HTML, VBScript)
Experience with statistical software (Stata, SPSS)
